The best part of the working Day
Share
The moments between meetings often matter more than the meetings themselves.
There was a time when work happened in one place.
You got dressed for the office, travelled there, spent the day inside and came home again. Your wardrobe reflected that. So did the buildings.
Today, work looks different.
It might begin at the kitchen table before anyone else is awake. Continue on a train into town. Move to a café between meetings. Spill into lunch on a bench because the weather is too good to waste. Finish with one last email before walking to meet friends.
Somewhere along the way, the boundaries disappeared.
Work is no longer just where we are. It's how we move through the day.
The moments that stay with us often happen between the things in the calendar. The coffee before the first meeting. The walk to clear your head. Lunch outside instead of at your desk. The longer route home because it's still light.
Those aren't interruptions to work.
They're part of a good working day.
Perhaps that's why we're rethinking the clothes we reach for.
Not because we need more technical features or more formal tailoring, but because modern life rarely asks us to stay in one role for very long.
The best clothes don't force you to choose between work and the rest of your life.
They simply let you get on with both.
